We are seeking dependable and hardworking Safety Valve Assembler located in Pasadena Texas 77507 with $25.00/hour pay for a 12-month temp opportunity. This is strictly a valve assembly role—candidates must have proven workshop experience assembling, calibrating, and troubleshooting valves from components, rather than field service, installation, or maintenance-only backgrounds. Must be skilled with skilled Safety Valve Assembly (specializing across Safety Valve, Control Valve, or Becker Valve lines) for a hands-on manufacturing and repair environment. APPY NOW!
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Dress Code: Steel Toe Boots required (along with standard warehouse safety gear)
What You’ll Do:
- Assemble, disassemble, and repair specialized valves (Safety, Control, or Becker valves) from individual components.
- Perform stainless steel tubing fabrication, installation, and bending.
- Calibrate valves, set pressures, lap valve seats and discs, and set up actuators and positioners.
- Conduct pressure testing, hydro testing, and leak testing to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical components and read technical drawings, assembly instructions, and P&IDs.
- Maintain a strong safety awareness when working with pressurized equipment and critical safety devices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on valve assembly experience.
- Background in valve manufacturing, valve repair & service centers, instrumentation & controls, oil & gas, or power generation.
- Proficiency in stainless steel tubing installation and bending.
- Mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, technical blueprints, and assembly documentation.
- Familiarity with API standards and pressure relief valve operations (position-dependent).
- Competency with valve test benches, calibration equipment, lapping tools/compounds, precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges), and tube benders.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, a quality-focused mindset, problem-solving abilities, and dependability.
