We are looking for dedicated Heavy Lifting Warehouse Associate in Blythewood SC 29016 with $17.51/hr pay for a 6-month temp-to-perm opportunity. In this role, you will play a vital part in the moving, arranging, lifting, and loading of storage boxes, bins, and totes. This position requires physical agility as you will frequently kneel, squat, reach, bend forward, and handle items ranging from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, 9-hour shifts (includes 30-minute lunch two 15-minute breaks)
SUMMARY:
- Environment: Non-climate-controlled facility (temperatures vary by weather—please dress accordingly).
- Physical Requirements: Highly demanding manual labor role requiring repetitive heavy lifting of up to 100 lbs. This is entirely hands-on with no forklifts or cherry pickers—you will use pallet jacks, push carts, and RF scanners.
- Pace & Independence: We are looking for self-starters who adapt quickly to new tasks, work efficiently on their own, and hit daily production targets.
What You’ll Do:
- Handle, move, and organize boxes and materials weighing 10 to 100 lbs.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and handheld scanners to track inventory.
- Read and process labels and documentation using our internal systems.
- Load pallets and prepare boxes for outbound shipments.
- Navigate stairs, inclines, and various floor surfaces safely.
- Climb ladders and work in different physical positions (bending, kneeling, squatting, etc.).
- This is a temporary/contract position with no benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off during the contract period
What We’re Looking For:
- Comfortable lifting and carrying boxes up to 100 lbs. without assistance.
- Willing and able to walk, stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Experience using basic warehouse tools or willingness to learn (pallet jacks, carts, scanners).
- Safety-minded and dependable, with attention to detail.
