ightStone is hiring a dependable and safety-focused Reach Truck Operator for a warehouse operation in Sandston, Virginia 23150. This is a temporary 2-month contract position paying $17.50 per hour, with the potential for extension based on business needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for replenishing inventory, preparing customer orders, loading route trucks, and supporting daily warehouse operations. Schedule
- Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate reach trucks to replenish inventory for the case line and bottle line.
- Pick, organize, and stage customer orders accurately according to invoices and delivery requirements.
- Load route trucks using computerized loading schematics to support next-day deliveries.
- Inspect warehouse equipment daily, report defects, and operate other material-handling equipment as needed.
- Handle, move, and store beverage products safely to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow established safety procedures and promptly report hazards.
- Perform general warehouse duties and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
- Reach truck operating experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to multitask.
- Commitment to workplace safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent reaching, including occasional overhead reaching.
- Ability to squat, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks as required.
