What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at RightStone?
We are seeking a Material Handler to join a growing team in Grant MI 49327 with $18-$20/hour pay for a 3-month, temp to perm opportunity. This role involves working in both indoor and outdoor warehouse/yard environments while supporting daily shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and order fulfillment operations. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to safely handle materials and equipment throughout the shift. APPLY NOW!
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Dress Code: Dress for indoor and outdoor work. Steel toe shoes required as part of PPE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the worksite independently
- Fill orders and issue materials and supplies based on requests
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist with receiving shipments and pulling orders
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements
What we're looking for:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have previous warehouse or receiving experience
- Able to frequently lift, push, carry, and slide packages up to 75 lbs
- Ability to read labels, tickets, and product documentation accurately
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout the warehouse in varying temperatures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills required
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
