What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance and Repair Technician position at RightStone?

This Temp-to-Hire opportunity is ideal for someone with a mechanical or electrical background who wants to gain hands-on experience with automation, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians while helping keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM
Dress Code: Polo shirt, jeans, and steel-toe shoes
PPE: Steel-toe shoes required
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with troubleshooting automated equipment, PLC-controlled systems, sensors, and electrical components.
- Perform routine maintenance and help install, start up, and repair automated equipment.
- Inspect equipment and replace basic components such as sensors, switches, relays, and motors.
- Read basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to support troubleshooting.
- Document maintenance activities and work orders while communicating equipment issues and repair status to supervisors.
What we're looking for:
- Some experience or education in automation, electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, automation equipment, or PLCs is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Willingness to learn and work under the guidance of senior technicians and supervisors.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety requirements.
- Reliable team player who can communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams.
