We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Facility Technician in Portland Oregon 97230 with $28.00/hr pay for a 4-month contract duration (temp to hire opportunity). In this role, you will be performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to support daily operations, ensure equipment reliability, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Schedule: 2nd Shift, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM, potential overtime or weekend works depending on the workloads
What You’ll Do:
- Perform general and detailed maintenance work, including patching, painting, hardware repair, and other necessary repair or replacement tasks.
- Execute routine facility and equipment maintenance across various systems and operations.
- Maintain and service mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repair work, and project updates; prepare standard operating procedures and maintenance protocols.
- Keep maintenance work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety practices.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with equipment vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to support repair work and equipment performance.
What we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience with a consistent and stable work history.
- Previous experience performing maintenance on production equipment, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and ladder logic programs.
- Experience with software interface tools for Allen Bradley or GE PLCs and Windows-based programs preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, shop tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Skilled in electrical power/controls, mechanical systems, and fluid-handling equipment.
- Trade school or technical certification preferred.
- Forklift experience required at certain locations.
