We are looking for a dedicated Chemical Technician in Big Spring Texas 79720 with $30.00/hr pay for 11-month contract, temp only. This role involves pump maintenance, chemical transfers, inventory control, and laboratory analysis while fostering strong relationships and delivering value to customers. As a key member of our technical team, you will also work closely with external partners to ensure effective chemical program execution. Must have High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree – APPLY NOW!
Shift Details: 7am–4pm Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely and adhere to all company and customer Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and guidelines
- Manage chemical inventories, place orders, and coordinate deliveries to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Perform field and laboratory testing as well as injection system monitoring to optimize treatment programs
- Input data and maintain accurate documentation of daily activities
- Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical pumps and injection systems
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth project delivery and execution
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of refinery or industrial operations, finished fuel additives, water treatment, and customer service
- Understanding of industrial safety protocols
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Laboratory experience preferred
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb barrel ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices
- Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
