Lead Network Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will ensure the security, reliability, and performance of the organization’s network infrastructure. This is an onsite position based in Fairfield County, CT.

Network Security Engineer’s Responsibilities And Duties

• Implement, manage, and optimize Zscaler and Fortigate security solutions.
• Design, deploy, and maintain VPN technologies including IPSec, SSL, GRE, DMVPN, and L2TP, ensuring secure connectivity.
• Configure NAT, optimize firewall rules, and analyze routing tables to maintain efficient and secure network traffic.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats using Radware DDoS protection, IPS/IDS, and other mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of zero-trust security frameworks and secure SD-WAN deployments.
• Troubleshoot network security issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
  
  

Network Security Engineer’s Qualifications And Skills

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Zscaler and Fortigate technologies.
• Strong expertise in VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL, GRE, DMVPN, L2TP) and their security implications.
• Proficient in NAT configuration, firewall rule optimization, and routing table analysis.
• Experience with Radware DDoS protection, IPS/IDS, and threat mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with zero-trust security frameworks and secure SD-WAN deployment.
