Information Security Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to lead and maintain their organization’s information security strategy and programs. This role will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data while aligning cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives. This is an onsite position based in Bergen County, NJ.

Starting at $175,000/year.

Information Security Officer’s Responsibilities And Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s information security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Oversee risk management initiatives, including security assessments, audits, and incident response planning.
• Collaborate with IT and executive leadership to ensure security measures align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations into security breaches, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures.
• Manage security awareness training programs to foster a culture of cybersecurity across the organization.

Information Security Officer’s Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in information security, risk management, or related disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.) and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.).
• Strong understanding of network security, cloud environments, and endpoint protection.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
