Responsibilities and Duties
As a caregiver with Right at Home, you will assist clients with a wide range of activities to help them maintain their independence and quality of life. Some of your key duties will include:
Personal Care:
Assist with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home.
Help with bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving.
Provide medication reminders to clients as needed.
Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises.
Housekeeping & Household Management:
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping floors, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
Meal Preparation:
Prepare meals and snacks according to client instructions and dietary needs.
Transportation & Errands:
Accompany clients on errands, shopping trips, or medical appointments as needed.
Companionship:
Engage with clients in meaningful activities such as reading, listening to music, playing puzzles, or other hobbies to encourage mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as required for the job.
License and Insurance: Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
Must live in the Area!
Certifications: CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Home Care Aide certification. (can be obtained through the link below)
