We’re growing and looking for a detail-oriented, financially savvy Billing Specialist to join our in-office team and help us continue making a difference in communities across rural Nebraska.
As our Billing Specialist (This is an in-office position), you’ll be the backbone of our financial operations—making sure every hour of care provided is billed, tracked, and paid for correctly. You’ll work with multiple payers and systems, and no two days will look the same.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Processing weekly billing for VA, DHHS Medicaid, LTC insurance, facilities, and private pay
- Submitting and reconciling EVV documentation for Medicaid compliance
- Handling collections and following up on balances
- Completing payroll processing and answering employee pay/PTO questions
- Responding to client billing inquiries with professionalism and care
- Managing Medicaid/VA authorizations and share of cost (SOC) tracking
- Entering payments and garnishments in WellSky
- Performing bookkeeping and financial reporting in QuickBooks (bank recs, journal entries, month/quarter/year-end statements)
- Supporting audits and other financial projects
- 2 years of bookkeeping, billing, payroll, or accounting experience
- Solid QuickBooks knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Organized, detail-focused, and self-driven
- Great communicator with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Healthcare billing or EVV knowledge is a plus
- Associate degree in accounting/business preferred, but not required
