Position Purpose: We are hiring a PRN/Part-Time Pharmacist/Retired Pharmacists to serve as coverage support for our primary pharmacist during time off. This flexible role is perfect for a licensed pharmacist seeking supplemental hours while contributing to a mission-driven, patient-centered health center.
Responsibility, Skills, and Difficulty of Work:
- Assists with recognizing the needs and concerns of people within their cultural framework, and maintains constructive relationships in dealing with them
- Understands the Riggs CHC’s relationship with the community and maintains positive image and relationships
- Self-motivation
- Interprets Riggs CHC’s services and policies to patients and families as appropriate.
- Works independently in the absence of supervision
- Self-motivated and flexible to daily schedule and/or center needs
- Deals with public and staff, both in person and over the telephone, in tactful and professional manner.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Three (3) or more years of relatable pharmacy experience
- Must be licensed as a registered pharmacist with an unrestricted license in the state of employment
- At least one (1) year of related pharmacy management experience, preferred
- Ability to work scheduled hours, including weekends and evenings if required
- Clean criminal record – with no felonies
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Ability to read and transcribe pharmaceutical information
- Strong assessment and multi-tasking skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Satisfactory completion of medication course.
- Bilingual especially in Spanish is preferred.
- Pharmacy management software and computer competency required.
