Yorktown Pediatric Dentistry in Yorktown Heights, New York, seeks an energetic, well-spoken, detail-oriented, multi-functional individual to join our dynamic front office team. Sample schedule: Mon 9 am-6 pm, Tues 11 am-7 pm, Wed 9am- 6pm, Thurs 11 am-7 pm, Friday 9 am-5 pm and two Saturdays a Month 8 am - 1 pm
Experience and Skills Needed:

- Computer skills (Dentrix, Microsoft office, e-mail, etc.) and the ability to learn new technology quickly

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and also can provide straightforward, empathetic customer service through e-mail and text.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of two years of experience in a dental office
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of insurance plans (PPO) is a plus
What your responsibilities will be:
- Answering insurance questions, explaining benefit information, and financial obligations to all patients
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments using dental software
- Contacting patients via phone, text message, and e-mail
- Collecting payment for services from patients
- Sending insurance claims
- Requesting and tracking pre-authorizations from insurance companies
- Providing general office support with a variety of administrative activities and related tasks
- Other duties as needed to enhance our patient's experience
