BAKERY PRODUCTION/SERVICE CLERK

REPORTS TO: Bakery Manager

JOB FUNCTION: Produce all bakery goods and other related products in an efficient manner within company policy. Maintain and operate the Bakery Department within company policy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observe all store rules and company policies.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
• Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
• Observe shift-operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager.
• Prepare, produce, and merchandise product in accordance with established company or department procedures and recipes to meet sales needs. Control consistency and quality of product and maintain sanitation and production standards.

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Lift and stack up to 50 pounds.
• Reach and stock product up to six feet high.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control of ingredients and supplies.
• Train and supervise employees when directed to do so.
• Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 500 pounds.
• Operate all bakery equipment, bread slicers, proofers, scales, fryers, mixers, ovens, etc.
• Package, box, price, and sell products.
• Operate telephone and intercom.
• Normally work a maximum eight-hour shift.
• Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers and employees.
• Produce, weigh, package, wrap, price, and sell product.
• Perform freshness checks and recondition product.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, and mopping functions
• Prepare, stock, and merchandise product.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations including full compliance with all applicable laws pertaining to safety, health and packaging.
