Position Overview
The Ophthalmic Technician plays a vital role in supporting physicians and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient experience. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a patient-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by obtaining medical and ocular histories
- Perform preliminary testing including visual acuity, refractions, tonometry, visual fields, OCT, and other diagnostic procedures
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Administer eye drops and medications as directed
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Accurately document findings in the electronic medical record
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies

Qualifications
- Prior ophthalmic or medical assisting experience preferred
- COA/COT certification is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
