What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Plant Maintenance position at Riegler Blacktop?
Department: Plant
Reports To: Plant Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Responsibilities:
· Operate various asphalt plant machines such as, loader, bull dozer, excavator, and skid steer
· Perform routine and preventive maintenance of asphalt plant
· Perform routine maintenance on equipment, (ie. lubricating and fueling) while overhead/stooping
· Ability to read schematics and tech manuals, use internet to resolve issues
· Ensure materials are correctly dumped while walking on unstable aggregates via visual inspection
· Safely move dirt, rock and other construction related material
· Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections on equipment
· Adhere to all safety standards
Qualifications:
· 5 years relevant asphalt plant experience
· Ability to work 5-6 days a week, 8-12 hours a day
· Work in extreme weather conditions
· Lift up to 75 pounds
· Mount and dismount equipment safely 6 feet
· Sit for extended periods of time
