What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Maintenance Laborer position at Southwestern Ohio Services LLC?
This is an entry level position in which you will learn how to perform the various asphalt maintenance services we offer.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting in layout and striping of pavement markings using measuring and marking tools and operation of airless spray machines.
Application of pavement sealer using broom/squeegee/spray equipment in driveways and parking lots.
Installation of bollards, signs, and parking blocks.
Shovel/rake/lute hot mix asphalt and operation of associated tools and machinery.
Repair/resurfacing/striping of athletic courts using hand tools, squeegees, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Setup and cleanup of equipment and tools required per job.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day.
Ability to regularly lift/carry 50 lbs. and team lift up to 150 lbs.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Prior construction/trade experience preferred.
Schedule Requirements
Shift hours are typically M-F between the hours of 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Weekend and occasional overnight shift availability.
Avg. 40 hours/week including weekends.
Compensation
$18/hour based on experience.
Night pay differential.
PTO/Vacation/Holiday pay.
Prevailing wage rates when applicable.
Overtime potential.
Health insurance eligibility after 30 days.
401k eligibility after 6 months.
