Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing all inbound and outbound shipment activities, maintaining inventory organization, and ensuring accurate documentation of logistics processes. This role supports operational efficiency by following established procedures related to shipping, receiving, inventory control, and compliance. The position is hands-on and process-driven, requiring attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Shipping & Receiving Operations

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and
• Process outgoing shipments in accordance with sales orders and shipping requirements
• Coordinate transportation logistics to optimize cost and delivery timelines
• Maintain shipping schedules and vendor coordination

Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain organization, security, and accuracy of inventory, including demo and rental assets
• Perform inventory check-in/check-out procedures and tracking
• Take and maintain photographic documentation of inbound and outbound items
• Documentation & Recordkeeping
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, packing slips, and logistics documentation
• Ensure proper filing and organization of shipping and inventory records
• Maintain an organized inbound/outbound tracking system for inventory and shipments

Quality Control & Compliance

• Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues to appropriate personnel
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sales workflows
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant shipping and warehouse environment

Facilities & Asset Support

• Assist with upkeep, organization, and maintenance of office and operational assets (limited scope)
• Support coordination of cleaning, maintenance, and security of operational areas

Performance Expectations

• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail
• Meet established deadlines and operational timelines
• Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork
• Follow established workflows and procedures
• Maintain productivity in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role

What we need from you…

• Ability to lift up to 60-80 lbs
• 3 years’ experience in Shipping and Receiving
• Experience with FedEx ShipStation
• Experience with UPS WorldShip
• Experience using various shipping programs
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficient in using computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite with expert Excel skills, Adobe Suite, Internet, and web programming.
