RIE is a metal finishing company based out of Dubuque, IA, and we're looking for a solid Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join the team. This role is hands-on and important to keeping our people safe and our operations running right across our three locations (NM, MN, IA), while making sure we stay compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
We need someone who can roll up their sleeves, take the lead on projects, and work side-by-side with folks on the floor and in the office. The right person knows their way around EHS programs, can think through problems, and communicates well with everyone from operators to leadership.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- An environmental certification and at least 7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preparing and submitting environmental reports such as Tier II, TRI, RCRA Biennial, NPDES, and air emissions inventories.
- Managing environmental permits, including air emissions, wastewater discharge, stormwater, and hazardous waste.
- Sampling, monitoring, and testing activities for air, water, and waste streams.
- Hazardous waste management, including labeling, storage, transportation, and disposal in accordance with RCRA and DOT regulations.
- Oversight of safety programs and compliance, including but not limited to tracking, scheduling, monitoring, reporting, investigating, and training.
- Ability to travel to our MN and NM locations 25-35%.
- Experience in metal finishing, chemical processing, or a related industry.
- Experience supporting the EHS function across multiple locations.
