Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and strategic District Manager to lead multiple gas station and store locations within Northwest Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
- Performance & Profitability: Maximizing sales while controlling expenses (like labor and inventory), and achieving profit targets for all stores in their district.
- Operations & Compliance: Ensuring stores are clean, safe, well-maintained, and follow all company policies procedures.
- Staff Management: Manage staffing levels, recruitment efforts, training programs, and employee development initiatives to build strong leadership teams. Ensures labor plans are met throughout the district.
- Strategy & Marketing: Implementing corporate initiatives, developing local marketing plans, and analyzing data to find growth opportunities.
- Problem-Solving: Serving as a point person for store issues, and making decisions to improve performance.
- Reporting: Communicating district successes, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaboration: Provides coverage for activities in the stores with the ability to work store functions (run register, stock, open a store) when needed.
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor compliance, provide coaching, and support store managers in achieving their goals
Skills
- Proven management experience preferably with a track record of leading multiple teams or locations effectively
- Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate goals into actionable plans
- Exceptional leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and high performance
- Understanding of profit & loss management and financial analysis
- Supervising experience with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing staff
- Project management skills to oversee initiatives from conception through execution while ensuring deadlines are met
- Excellent sales skills with a customer-focused approach
Work Environment:
- Frequent travel is required to locations in the assigned district with occasional company wide travel to store, office, and car wash locations. Desk work is also required.
- Involves physical tasks including, but not limited to, counting, reading paper and digital reports, lifting, walking, standing, kneeling and bending.
- Occasional work with cleaning chemicals and automotive fuel products.
- Primarily working mornings Monday - Friday, but does require flexible hours, including occasional early mornings evenings and weekends.
- Ability and willingness to work store functions (run register, stock, open a store) when needed.
