**Job Summary:**
As a Veterinary Hospital Assistant at Ridgeview Veterinary Hospital, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary nurses and hospital function. Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinary nurses, managing kennel duties, caring for animals under our supervision, surgical/hospital laundry, stocking supplies, sterile surgical pack preparation, and hospital cleaning.
**Responsibilities:**
- Maintain cleanliness and organization for the hospital.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care to all animals
- Ensure clean and comfortable living conditions for all animals.
- Assist veterinary staff with handling animals and basic procedures as needed.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to veterinary staff promptly.
- Prepare sterile surgical packs.
- Clean and stock hospital laundry.
- Prepare examination rooms for patients.
- Perform end of day hospital cleaning and removal of trash.
- Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
