Ridgeview Residential Center is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated professional to be the House Supervisor.
Ridgeview Residential Center is an Adult Residential Facility, located in the city of Shasta Lake, California. The program provides a 24-hour per day, seven days per week structured, therapeutic community-based home for adults requiring residential and mental health services. The program’s primary goal is to assist residents in developing the skills necessary to transition from supervised twenty-four (24) hour care to independent living within the client’s home community. Staff works in collaboration with County Mental Health, Case Managers, the Public Guardian and the individual resident to develop a plan for community re-integration.
- Pay: $21.50-$22.50 per hour

Position Overview: This is generally a full-time position, with a potentially irregular work schedule, however we are accepting applications for part-time and on-call. Under the supervision of the Administrator, the House Supervisor will assist with the supervision of the facility and the facility staff. The House Supervisor will provide support and assistance to clients with mental illness, and may be involved in admissions/discharges, de-escalations, documentation, leading therapeutic activities, and assisting with the overall delivery of services. This is a ‘Lead’ position, and duties may differ depending on the milieu and the needs of the shift, but may include:
- Coordinate and monitor individualized treatment plans, assisting clients in their transition to the next level of care or discharge.
- Manage and document medication intake, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.
- Provide crisis intervention and maintain a calm, supportive environment during emergencies.
- Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and welcoming, reflecting a homelike atmosphere.
- Oversee maintenance and repairs, reporting issues promptly.
- Monitor program funds and client allowances, ensuring accurate accounting and timely submission of receipts.
- Supervise, counsel, and support facility staff, fostering a professional and collaborative environment.
- Oversee staff scheduling and shift transitions, ensuring seamless communication and operations.
- Assist in staff training, development, and compliance with agency policies and licensing standards.
- Support the development, evaluation, and improvement of counseling curriculum and program services.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Title 22 and Title 9 standards.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in alignment with agency procedures.
- Facilitate connections to community resources, including AA, NA, and other support services.
- Establish positive relationships with funding agencies, referral sources, and local community members.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Physical, Environmental, and Mental Requirements:
- Physical: Occasionally required to push/pull objects up to 50 lbs., and to lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, etc. Must be able to walk, stand, sit for extended periods. May be required to regularly go up and down stairs and/or staircases.
- Sensory: Frequently required to read documents, written reports, and plans. Must be able to
- distinguish normal sounds with some background noise, as in answering the phone, interacting with residents and staff, etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language.
- Cognitive: Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time. Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days or weeks.
- Psychological: Potential exposure to loud tones, offensive, intimidating, or threatening language or behaviors, in the client care environment.
- Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (residential/office)
- environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances, dust, and loud noises. Potential exposure to bodily fluids, processes, and odors.
- Equipment: Frequently required to use a computer, phone, copy and fax machine. May need to use other equipment, based on department need and with appropriate training.
Requirements, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate’s degree is preferred, Medical Assistant Certificate, or CNA certificate strongly preferred.
- A minimum of one-year full time experience or its part time equivalent working in a program serving persons with mental illnesses is required. Such experience must be in the direct provision of services to clients.
- Experience with staff supervision is also preferred.
- Experience in psychiatric rehabilitation, preferably in a social rehabilitation environment is preferred.
- Experience working in Mental Health, preferably in a residential setting is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills including email and internet navigation required. Experience with EMRs strongly preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, a professional demeanor and to always represent the organization in a positive manner.
- Must demonstrate acceptable level of maturity, good judgment, and emotional stability
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug tests as required under State Licensing regulations and/or agency policies.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a criminal records clearance, as required by any and all licensing regulations, and company practices.
- Must follow any/all facility requirements related to the control or mitigation of communicable diseases within our facilities, which may include vaccination requirements or face covering requirements.
- Upon hire or before, must complete tuberculosis clearance and health screening to determine fitness for duty. Annual tuberculosis clearance or health screening may be required.
- Must obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR, crisis intervention training certification, if applicable.
- This position may require driving. If so, a valid California driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, current personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies are all essential job requirements.
