Imaging Services Manager

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for providing leadership and managing patient and staff workflow for the day-to-day operations of the Imaging Services Department. This staff member will provide a safe, effective, and efficient environment of care for our customer and a healthy work environment for all staff. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through effective management of staff, technology, compliance, and service delivery.

Job Functions

• Provides leadership and oversight of the Imaging Services Department. Supports the department director through development of programs, goals and objectives consistent with those of the organization's overall strategic plan and initiatives.
• Manages staff resources by overseeing the recruiting, selecting, hiring and orienting qualified individuals. Evaluates performance in an accurate, consistent, objective and timely manner.
• Manages operating expenses and key indicators within the budget for departments in Imaging Services. Supports department director in quality improvement efforts and service delivery that contributes to the overall success and financial viability of Imaging Services.
• Reviews and monitors applicable policies and procedures. As assigned, ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agency standards.
• Maintains clinical competencies and/or knowledge in accord with scope and responsibility of the position.
• May participate on organizational and medical staff committees and serve as a professional resource for physicians, clinicians and leadership. May also collaborate with physicians and clinicians regarding the Imaging Services Department programs and services. May represent Imaging Services and Ridgeview Medical Center in community outreach including participation on committees and presentations.
• Proactively identifies and acts upon improvement projects and opportunities through observation, data analysis, engagement with partners, review of external impact factors and best practices, as well as ongoing communication with leadership and staff.
• Coordinates and manages quality and safety committees within the department. Providing quality direction to maintain regulatory and accreditation acceptance.
• The manager leads teams across modalities and locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary combined with equivalent experience
• 5 Years of experience in clinical radiology patient care, and 3 years in a radiology management position
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

• Systemic thinking when contemplating and implementing change.
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
