RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a full-time Healthcare Billing Specialist. The schedule will be weekdays, 8am-4:30pm.
The right candidate will join a close knit billing team following timely, accurate, HIPAA-compliant billing practices that complement the accounting side of the financial services department. The billing team is an integral part of "One Ridgeview", with all staff working toward a common mission.

REQUIREMENTS
The Healthcare Billing Specialist position requires a high school diploma or GED with skills in data entry, claims submission and follow-up. Two years prior medical/ hospital claims and billing experience required. Excellent organization and communication (written and verbal) skills; mathematical aptitude; sense of discipline; ability to work under minimal supervision. Completes work with a sense of urgency and high degree of accuracy. Exercises discretion and good judgment in communicating account information to third parties. Able to work regularly scheduled weekday business hours.
JOB DUTIES
Medical billing and related activities in a behavioral healthcare environment. Working directly with clients and/or third-party payors to ensure that medical billing is accurate, compliant with the payors guidelines, thorough, and timely. Performs collections efforts to ensure accounts receivable balances are managed in accordance with target balances. Excellent communication skills. Enjoys working with clients and third-party payors.
