We’re looking for a dedicated Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations at Liberty Ambulance in Ridgecrest, CA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at managing logistics and teams, and is passionate about delivering life-saving services to the community. You’ll oversee field staff, scheduling, fleet readiness, regulatory compliance, and ensure high-quality, efficient ambulance services across our region.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support EMTs, paramedics, and dispatch staff
- Coordinate scheduling and staffing to ensure 24/7 coverage
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and fleet operations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EMS regulations
- Collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, and fire departments
- Oversee operational budgets and resource allocation
- Respond to and manage service-related incidents or concerns
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management initiatives
Collaborative Teamwork
This role involves working closely with EMS crews, administrative staff, and healthcare partners to maintain seamless service delivery. You’ll be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to a culture of accountability, safety, and respect.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree - Healthcare related field or a minimum of 7 years’ experience in EMS as a Paramedic
- 3 years of supervisory or operational experience in EMS or healthcare logistics
- Kern County Paramedic Certification Required
- CA State Paramedic License Required
- Strong knowledge of EMS operations, scheduling, and compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and crisis management skills
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with staff, partners, and the public
