Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols in compliance with OSHA and CDC
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
- Manage patient records using Dentrix and Dexis
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient care
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure optimal care and safety
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote ongoing wellness
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and documentation
- Support dental reception duties by managing patient scheduling, answering inquiries, and coordinating treatment plans with the front office team
- Ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly, including 3D scanners and other advanced tools used in modern dentistry
Experience
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license/certification in Arkansas.
- Preference of previous hands-on clinical experience.
- Active X-ray, coronal polishing, and CPR/BLS certifications.
- Exceptional communication skills with a compassionate, patient-focused attitude.
- Strong clinical skills paired with a warm, empathetic chairside manner.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing shifting priorities while maintaining a detail-oriented focus.
