Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior components.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks to maintain building aesthetics and structural integrity.
- Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing issues, repairing components, and ensuring optimal performance.
- Use hand tools and electrical equipment to perform repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection and fixture replacements.
- Follow detailed maintenance procedures based on schematics and technical manuals to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support facilities maintenance operations by managing maintenance painting projects and handling repair requests promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to lead small maintenance projects or tasks that require leadership skills.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for operational transparency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in building interior maintenance and facilities equipment upkeep.
- Proficiency in electrical work including electrical equipment repair, troubleshooting circuits, and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques for residential or commercial settings.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems control is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair including troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, fans, and ductwork.
- Familiarity with maintenance painting techniques suitable for residential or commercial environments.
- Competence in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, saws, and other basic repair tools.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with team members and other departments.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately while performing electrical or mechanical repairs.
- Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices to ensure efficient facility management.
- Basic leadership qualities to assist in guiding junior staff or leading small projects when needed.
- Fluency in English for effective communication across diverse teams.
