Position Overview
We are seeking a Web & IT Systems Specialist to lead our online presence and digital‑marketing operations while optimizing internal IT systems and supporting new application roll‑outs. Although core infrastructure is managed by our Group IT team, this on‑site role will be the go‑to specialist for website performance, marketing‑tech execution, and day‑to‑day IT workflow improvements.
Role & Key Responsibilities
- Website & Digital Marketing Support
- Manage, update, and enhance the corporate WordPress site, ensuring uptime, accessibility, and optimal page‑load performance.
- Administer domains, DNS records, and SSL certificates.
- Monitor traffic and engagement via Google Analytics (or similar), producing actionable SEO and UX improvement plans.
- Provide technical support for digital‑marketing initiatives (e‑mail campaigns, webinars, landing pages, marketing‑automation integrations).
- Application Implementation & Support
- Deploy, configure, and maintain no‑code/low‑code and custom applications that streamline business processes.
- Design and refine data flows between Google Workspace, Google Cloud, and MySQL databases.
- Troubleshoot incidents and coordinate escalations with external vendors and Group IT.
- IT Systems Operations
- Oversee company hardware (servers, PCs, peripherals); organize and maintain the data closet; perform device imaging and setup.
- Lead vendor and Group IT run server/network changes and migrations (plan, schedule, test, rollback coordination); including but not limited to inventory, cabling checks, basic configuration, and go-live validation, with scope adjusted based on operational needs.
- Enforce security best practices and compliance standards (account management, patching, access controls) in coordination with Group IT.
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs); deliver regular status and improvement reports to stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with our group IT support team and IT vendors to ensure seamless communication and support, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Provide clear, timely updates and reports on IT operations, improvements, and security enhancements to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 4 years of hands‑on experience in web administration, IT operations, or application support.
- Proficiency with WordPress, Google Workspace (especially Sheets and Docs), Google Cloud, and MySQL.
- Working knowledge of SEO tools and Google Analytics.
- Proven ability to document and simplify complex workflows; strong analytical and communication skills.
