Richway Industries, Ltd. is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator and Programmer to support production machining, mold maintenance, and special tooling projects. This role is hands-on and requires a detail-oriented, dependable individual who can program, set up, and optimize CNC machining processes while supporting quality, safety, and production goals.
Key Responsibilities
Tooling, Fixtures & Special Projects
- Design, program, build, repair, and maintain injection molds, rubber molds, special tooling, and fixtures.
- Perform maintenance machining on plastic and rubber molds.
CNC Programming & Production Support
- Create and edit CNC programs for prototype and production parts.
- Manually write and modify programs using G & M codes.
- Program and operate CNC machines using Fanuc and HAAS controls.
- Learn and utilize SurfCAM for part programming.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to support production scheduling and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Setup & Machining
- Set up parts, fixtures, and tooling.
- Accurately set tool offsets and work offsets at the machine control.
- Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times and overall efficiency.
Quality
- Edit and write programs to ensure consistent production of quality parts.
- Support and promote quality standards within the machining area.
Continuous Improvement
- Work with operators to improve machine cycles, post-operation processes, and overall production output.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Safety
- Ensure machines, tooling, and equipment meet safety requirements.
- Promote and follow safe work practices at all times.
Inventory Management
- Maintain raw material inventory levels.
- Enter finished goods inventory into RAIS daily.
Maintenance & Organization
- Perform basic maintenance on CNC machines and related systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of G & M codes
- Ability to manually write and edit CNC programs
- Experience with Fanuc and HAAS controls
- Ability to learn and use SurfCAM
- Proficient in part, fixture, and tool setup
- Ability to accurately perform tool offsets and work offsets
- Wire EDM experience (Mitsubishi) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
