What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACS Teacher position at Richmond High School?
The Richmond R-XVI School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Family and Consumer Science (FACS) for the 2026-2027 school year. This position may include teaching Housing, Foods, Child Development, and sponsorship of FCCLA for an additional stipend. Successful candidate(s) will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential. The primary duty of this position is to provide instruction, guided practice, assessments, remediation and enrichment of Family and Consumer Sciences through a variety of learning opportunities and ensure a positive, successful educational experience for students. Additional sponsorship of FCCLA (Family Career & Community Leaders of America) may be included.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in FACS • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in major area of study • Effective oral and written communication skills
