Duties
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Facilitate a variety of youth group activities, including arts and crafts, homework assistance and possible dance instruction
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and conflict resolution
- Maintain a clean and organized activity space, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp programs, youth groups, or educational environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire
- Experience facilitating youth development programs or teaching young children in early childhood education or special education settings
- Demonstrated ability to lead team activities with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or similar roles that involve working directly with children is a plus
- Strong communication skills combined with patience, creativity, and a passion for nurturing childhood growth
