Essential Functions: Providing basic home management services for the clients assigned including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing dishes, making the bed, laundry, running errands, preparation of simple meals; complete required paperwork on each client daily; recognize/report changes in client health and environment; provide companionship/emotional support; observe/report indicators of abuse, neglect, illness; arrange transportation for medical appointments; identify medication for clients; and any other duties assigned.
Qualifications: Candidate must possess high school diploma or equivalent; or must possess high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year work experience as an In Home Aide level I; or must possess nursing assistant certificate, preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a vehicle for use during work hours. Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, as well as have a clean criminal record. Must be detail oriented and an excellent organizer, capable of maintaining accurate and up to date files. Must have the ability to handle money well. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with other staff, Board of Directors, older adult clients and the general public on a one-to- one basis as well as a group setting. Capable of working responsibly with confidential information.
Physical Requirements: Candidate must have the ability to bend, lift, stand, walk, stoop, and lift 30-40 pounds on occasion.
Job Hours: Maximum of 40 hours per week.
