Job Qualifications
Education: High School education or equivalent preferred.
Certification or Licensure: Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Skills: Must have knowledge of all metals, welding equipment, materials used in conjunction with welding, and their proper application. Leadership ability with good interpersonal skills.
Work Experience: Four years of experience on the job or two years of vocational training and two years’ experience or graduate of a technical school with a degree in welding and one year experience. Welding experience in repairing metal door jams, installation of new wooden and metal doors, and jams on multi-hung doors preferred.
Primary Duty
This position is responsible for performing duties assigned by the construction foreman pertaining to welding, shaping, and cutting of metals; assisting in the carpentry area as assigned by the Foreman, or Director of Maintenance and Custodial Services.

- Carries out all job assignments pertaining to metal work as assigned.
- Maintains and services all tools, equipment, and trucks assigned to the welding team.
- Keep accurate records. (Travel logs, service tickets, vehicle inventory, etc.)
- The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned or required by such employee’s supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law board policy administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission.
