Job Summary
Richmond College Prep is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Instructional Aide to support academic growth, positive behavior, and a safe, joyful school culture. This role includes instructional support, student supervision, homework support, and helping foster a strong, respectful learning environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Support classroom instruction by working with small groups and individual students in literacy, math, and other content areas -Partner with teachers to implement interventions, reinforce lessons, and support differentiated instruction -Assist with classroom management, including reinforcing routines, expectations, and positive student behavior -Support classroom organization, materials preparation, and daily classroom systems -Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-classroom times to ensure safety and positive interactions -Lead and support Homework Center, helping students complete assignments and build strong study habits -Support students in conflict resolution, problem solving, and restorative conversations -Proactively monitor student behavior, help prevent conflicts, and support a positive school climate -Assist with line-up procedures and student movement throughout the school day -Collaborate with teachers and staff to support all students, including those needing additional academic or behavioral support Qualifications and Requirements: -High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or completion of two years of college preferred -Experience working with children in a school, youth program, or childcare setting preferred -Experience supporting behavior management and/or conflict resolution preferred -Ability to support students academically in small groups and one-on-one settings -Strong communication and collaboration skills -Ability to maintain a calm, positive, and professional demeanor with students and staff -Commitment to educational equity and b
