Position Overview RCP is seeking a passionate First Grade Teacher to help students build strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics. First grade teachers collaborate closely with grade-level teammates, instructional staff, and school leadership to ensure students grow academically and socially. This role includes strong instructional support so teachers can focus on student learning. Key Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging, standards-aligned lessons in reading, writing, and math Create a positive classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated Use assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction Work closely with an Instructional Aide to support small groups and differentiated learning Collaborate with grade-level colleagues and school leadership Communicate regularly with families about student progress Teacher Supports Full-time Instructional Aide in the classroom One hour of daily prep time One hour lunch each day Collaborative grade-level team and supportive leadership Qualifications Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Experience teaching early elementary grades preferred Strong understanding of early literacy and foundational math instruction Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching Benefits Salary starting at $62,000 $3,000 Signing Bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance CalSTRS retirement Professional development and collaborative work environment
