Richland Library is seeking to hire a Talent Acquisition Specialist at our Main location.
Sample Duties:
- Manages full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communications, and offer administration.
- Partners with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and identify staffing needs.
- Reviews applications and assists with candidate screening and qualification assessments.
- Coordinates interview scheduling, candidate logistics, and selection processes.
- Administers applicant tracking systems and recruitment records.
- Coordinates pre-employment activities, including background checks, reference checks, and employment documentation.
- Develops and maintains talent pipelines for current and future staffing needs.
- Participates in career fairs, community outreach events, networking opportunities, and recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Coordinates new hire onboarding activities and orientation processes.
- Assists with workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with employment laws, equal employment opportunity requirements, and organizational hiring practices.
- Maintains recruitment procedures, forms, and process documentation.
- Draft offer letters and extend offers
- Seek external recruiting sources
- Assists with employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Supports special HR projects and department initiatives.
- Participates in training programs and professional development activities.
- Assists with employment branding and social media recruitment efforts.
- Provides backup support to other Human Resources functions as needed.
- Attends committee meetings, community events, and organizational functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree in human resources, business administration or a related field and three (3) years of professional experience in recruitment, talent acquisitions, staffing, human resources, customer service, workforce development, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Location, Salary & Hours:
Where: Richland Library Main, 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201
Salary: $58,000 - $68,000 annually, plus excellent benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm with evening, weekend or emergency hours being possible.
Job Role & Level: P1; Pay Grade & Salary Band: 6; FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
