PT - Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Support Services/ Baltimore
Rate of Pay $22/hr*
We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Support a young man in the Perry Hall area with developing independence in his home and community. Assist with being active and playing golf weekly.
Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life.
This position is:
Monday 12p-5p
Thursday 12p-5p
Friday 12p-5p
15 hours/ week
The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.
Some lift and transfer may be required.
Paid training, including CPR/First Aid, and opportunities to obtain Med Tech Certification!
DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:
Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships
Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Current driver’s license (not provisional) with less than 3 points on driving record
- Must be able to transport people supported as needed
- Some lifting and transferring may be required
- Must have at least 2 years of Driving experience
- Must be at least 20 years of age
Rate of pay *$22/hr.*
* Regular Base rate is $22/hr. There is an additional $1/hr. shift differential for weekend shifts. ($22 $1=$23/hr.)
