Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the extrusion/press process, ensuring correct mix levels, ratios, and equipment performance
- Check product quality during drying and quickly fix any issues
- Set up and manage egg hoppers, ensuring proper loading and operation
- Record machine readings and report any problems immediately
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe
- Perform die changes and use correct parts
- Report machine issues, track downtime, and submit maintenance requests as needed
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime
- Manufacturing experience, with experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods
- Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environments and confined spaces
- Make fine distinctions by sound
- Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually
