Mill Operator

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Mill Operator to join our team at our St. Louis, MO Milling location. A Mill Operator is responsible for the overall operations of the milling department and employees.

Responsibilities:

• Directly oversees and monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
• Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility's production
• Facilitate maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime
• Ensure the mill is organized and clean at all times
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
• Make sure all production personnel follow SOP’s, GMP’s, OSHA and HAACP guidelines at all times
• Will be required to maintain documentation of a variety of activities and inventories. These may be either on a paper format or electronic format
• Must learn and execute basic equipment maintenance to improve production reliability
• Make recommendations for line efficiency and productivity improvements
• Communicate effectively with other supervisors in mill, maintenance, packaging and loadout departments and assist when needed
• This role requires regular presence on the plant floor, requires lifting up to 50 lbs
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous flour milling experience required
• Bachelor of Science, Milling Science and Management or IAOM Correspondence Course completion
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Must be comfortable using a computer and able to learn new software for production
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays required
