Established Civil Engineering firm has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer EIT or PE. The Position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting Civil Engineering projects from residential and commercial land development to City Street and Utility projects.
POSITION SUMMARY Civil Engineer, E.I. or P.E.: Plans and designs engineering projects such as streets, roads, residential and commercial developments, municipal projects including water and sewer systems, commercial facilities, and drainage projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Develop plan sets for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3d, including street and drainage plans, street plan/profile sheets, water/sewer and other utility drawings, and erosion control plans.
- Perform Engineering calculations for roadway design, drainage, water and sewer utilities, and other pertinent applications.
- Submit plans and other correspondence to various agencies for approval.
- Read and interpret Municipal planning and design regulations and apply them to specific projects.
- Prepare City and County planning submittals, adhering to specific codes and guidelines.
- Work efficiently and respectfully in a team setting to complete tasks.
- Be self-motivated, have positive attitude, and be willing to learn new concepts and work on various types of projects.
- Able to communicate effectively with others through written, verbal, and electronic communications.
- Meets with clients periodically to coordinate changes, inform clients of additional requirements, receive input from the client, answer client questions, and resolve issues.
- Coordinates with government officials to obtain required approval and permits for assigned projects.
- Coordinates project activity with appropriate officials, support staff, subcontractors, labs, and other entities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (BS) from an accredited Engineering school in a four-year college or university. AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred).
SALARY RANGE: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be a certified Engineer Intern (EI), a recent new grad seeking their Engineer Intern (EI). Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or seeking to obtain. Professional Engineer with Arkansas license strongly preferred.
