Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer for an office located in Little Rock, AR, to engage in environmental consulting activities with a focus on civil and environmental services, particularly concerning landfills and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a motivated quick learner who values teamwork and is eager to develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Manage projects and personnel to meet both client and company expectations.
• Make independent decisions based on engineering or scientific problems and methods.
• Plan and coordinate work, representing the company at meetings and conferences.
• Conduct fieldwork in varied terrain and weather, including surveys, data gathering, and construction quality assurance.
• Perform office-based tasks such as CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, and creating site plans.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and other design software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
• Drive and initiative to excel in the role.

Work Environment

The position is primarily office-based with occasional field visits to project sites. The role involves the use of advanced design software and tools, within a collaborative team of nine people, three of whom work remotely. The work environment promotes professional growth through interaction with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, and offers monthly employee spotlights to recognize top performers. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
