As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled CNC Plasma Cutter Programmer/Operator to join our fabrication team.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented CNC Plasma Programmer/Operator to support our fabrication process. You’ll be responsible for programming and operating our CNC plasma cutting equipment to produce high-precision steel components used in custom stair systems and structural steel builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CNC plasma cutting machines using CAD/CAM and nesting software.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists related to steel stairs and structural components.
- Prepare material and set up equipment for cutting operations.
- Ensure parts meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain cutting machines and tools to ensure peak performance.
- Work closely with fabricators and project managers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience operating and programming CNC plasma cutting machines.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, OmniWin , or similar).
- Familiarity with steel materials and plate cutting techniques.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and cut lists.
- Solid mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or with a team.
- Experience in a structural or stair fabrication environment is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
