EHS Manager – Manufacturing (Onsite, WA) — $80–115k Relocation
A mid-sized, highly automated manufacturing site is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead site-wide EHS strategy, compliance, and continuous-improvement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on, servant-leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day floor engagement and partner effectively with operators and leadership.
Ideal Profile
- 7 years of EHS leadership in manufacturing or industrial environments (automation experience preferred).
- Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations.
- Strong background in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001; experience maintaining integrated management systems.
- Skilled in risk assessments, incident/root-cause investigations, waste management, air/water permitting, and regulatory reporting.
- Comfortable with both strategic initiatives and tactical work—neither a rigid “safety cop” nor passive.
- Stable career history (no short stints; no consulting-heavy backgrounds).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site compliance for all EHS activities, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive environmental sustainability efforts, including waste reduction, resource efficiency, and energy-impact initiatives.
- Champion ISO management systems and continuous improvement across safety and environmental programs.
- Oversee safety training, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective-action planning.
- Guide emergency response, ergonomics, and employee engagement programs.
- Serve as the primary EHS liaison to both shop-floor staff and senior leadership; deliver KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Develop and mentor a small EHS team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience leading EHS programs in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Experience with Human Performance Improvement programs a plus.
- Industry experience in advanced manufacturing preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000–$115,000 base salary relocation support.
