Role Overview
A large LNG operator is seeking a Director of Facilities to provide end-to-end ownership of site facilities, warehousing, yards, and industrial assets supporting construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations at a major Gulf Coast facility.
This role holds full lifecycle accountability for facilities strategy, asset reliability, materials management, and operational readiness across a multi-hundred-acre industrial site with fabrication, warehousing, office, and logistics infrastructure. The position combines hands-on site leadership with strategic planning, financial ownership, and cross-functional execution.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Site Operations
- Own and execute the site facilities strategy, including space utilization, infrastructure upgrades, and long-term improvement planning
- Lead daily operations of buildings, warehouses, yards, and fabrication areas (utilities, HVAC, fire protection, security, grounds)
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security regulations
- Drive preventative maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle asset care to maintain operational reliability
Construction & Project Support
- Provide controlled, safe facilities support for construction, commissioning, and expansion activities
- Coordinate access and readiness for fabrication shops, pipe yards, laydown areas, and staging zones
- Partner closely with Project, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure facility readiness
Materials, Inventory & Asset Reliability
- Lead site materials management and warehouse operations
- Maintain accountability for inventory accuracy, audits, repairable spares, and preservation programs
- Oversee reliability, maintenance, and preservation strategies for industrial equipment, capital spares, and material handling assets
Financial & Systems Ownership
- Own departmental OPEX and CAPEX budgets, including multi-year planning and cost controls
- Maintain strong governance, audit readiness, and internal controls (SOX-aligned)
- Utilize ERP and procurement platforms (materials management, plant maintenance, purchasing) as core operational tools
Leadership & Culture
- Build and lead a high-performing, safety-driven team across facilities, materials, and asset management functions
- Promote an owner-operator mindset focused on accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Supply Chain, or related field
- 10 years of experience leading facilities, warehousing, asset reliability, or materials functions in LNG, energy, or heavy industrial environments
- Proven safety leadership and experience operating within live industrial sites
- Strong working knowledge of ERP-based materials and maintenance systems
- Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and brownfield expansion within operating facilities
