Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to lead our quality assurance and control initiatives within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is responsible for ensuring food safety and compliance are completed at the highest level of quality and integrity and in full compliance with USDA, SQF and GMP requirements and processes. This role is critical in safeguarding product integrity, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining regulatory compliance across all manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, HACCP, and CGMP standards.
- Lead and coordinate quality audits to assess compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Oversee quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Manage quality assurance activities including documentation control, process validation, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality systems into production workflows and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and develop effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Train staff on quality protocols, inspection techniques, and regulatory requirements to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics and audit findings for senior management review.
- Stay current with industry regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance and implement necessary updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality control and quality assurance within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, USDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and related industry standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits and implementing quality systems.
- Excellent analysis skills for identifying issues, root causes, and developing corrective actions.
- Experience in project management to lead continuous improvement initiatives effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train teams and influence a culture of quality excellence.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Relevant certifications in quality management or auditing are preferred. This position offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of product safety and quality within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
