Richard E. Pierson Construction Co., Inc. is looking for an experienced Proposal Coordinator to join our team in Pilesgrove, NJ. Responsibilities include supporting the submission of bids and proposals for civil construction projects by managing the creation of qualification proposal ensuring they are high-quality, compliant with client requirements, and submitted on time. This role is a central point of coordination between various teams, including estimating, engineering, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Prepare, edit, and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, ensuring all elements are included and compliant.
- Coordination: Act as a liaison between project managers, estimators, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather content and meet deadlines.
- Content Creation: Write and edit compelling sections in accordance with proposal requirements, executive summaries, and company qualifications, adapting to specific project needs.
- Research: Understand client needs and project specifics for tailored proposals, potentially researching specifications and drawings.
- Quality Control: Ensure proposal accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation using templates and design tools.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with heavy civil construction, project financials (cost codes, schedules), and risk management.
- Collaboration: Work in a team environment, ensuring internal communication flows smoothly for successful bid delivery.
- Schedule/Deadlines: Works well under pressure and as required to deliver quality proposal to meet project requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Experience in proposal coordination, marketing, or a related role within the construction or engineering industry.
Skills:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proposal/project management software like Procore, Bluebeam, or InDesign.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is often required.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related technical field is often preferred.
