Job Description
This position is responsible for the accurate probing and grading of all incoming rough rice trucks, in accordance with Riceland’s standards and state regulations. Also, input of the data from each truck into spreadsheets and our inventory systems, as well as communicating with the truck dump about proper binning and grades for each truck. This position is also responsible for learning the scale house paperwork for all trucks that get weighed in and out on that scale.
Job Duties
-Operate hydraulic vacuum probe to retrieve adequate samples from all incoming trucks for grading procedures, in accordance with Riceland standards, and state regulations.
-Grade all retrieved samples in accordance with Riceland standards and state regulations.
-Split down truck samples into composite lot samples and ship to appraisal office in a timely manner, using UPS system to generate shipping labels.
-After training, test for and receive certification for grading and inspection.
-Complete all proper paperwork regarding sampling process, including input into inventory systems and spreadsheets.
-Cooperate with incoming drivers and visitors in a professional manner.
-Generate and retrieve information from inventory systems.
-This is a safety sensitive position.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and occasionally lift up to 100lbs with assistance.
-Possess the ability to distinguish between colors.
-Working at heights, in noisy, fast paced, dusty environments, with exposure to the elements.
-Occasionally on your feet for long periods of time.
-Complete SA logs as required.
-Learn and assist in all co-products and outgoing shipments paperwork.
-Send emails, and coordinate with all other department personnel
-Answer phone calls in a professional manner.
-Work in coordination with others well.
-Work independently well.
-Assist Dryer and Truck Dump as needed.
-A variety of light maintenance work and sanitation work will be required.
-Operates a forklift, front end loader, skid steer as needed.
-Operate scales, printers, grain elevators, conveyors, and bin gates.
-Read and reference daily instructions.
-Coordinate with supervision daily.
-Perform daily inspections of all equipment.
-Complete monthly safety training.
-Seasonally work long hours.
-Other duties may be assigned.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED, any previous sampling or grading experience preferred.
