Essential Job Functions
Education and Experience
- Pick correct parts and quantities according to the sales orders (pick slip)
- Operate a forklift, riding pallet jack, personal lift equipment, carts and standard pallet jacks to properly move the items
- Package orders using standard commercial packaging provided to eliminate damage to parts or products
- Use hand tools such as a bander, screw gun, saws-all, pneumatic nail gun and heat gun to properly package and secure items or pallets
- Load trucks with pallets using a standard or riding pallet jack
- Follow quality procedures to ensure part numbers and quantity of items are correct and quality of the packaging are up to standard
- Use computer to enter the correct data into the shipping software for each shipment
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure shipments are sent in a timely fashion
- Keep an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Continuous lifting of items or tools under 10 pounds
- Continuous pushing and pulling of parts and pallet jacks
- Continuous fine finger movements while using the scanner, computer or keyboard, writing and operating various hand tools
- Continuous standing and walking
- Continuous use of far and near vision and depth perception, occasional use of color vision while operating equipment
- Continuous use of spatial and form perception while operating equipment, placing pallet loads and packaging boxes
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items under 35 pounds
- Frequent handling and gripping of carts, parts and tools
- Frequent bending/stooping and crouching while picking and packing
- Frequent use of reading and writing while taking notes and looking at orders and part numbers
- Frequent 1-foot action while using the forklift (seldom 2 foot action with forklift)
- Frequent carrying of items or parts 36-50 pounds
- Occasional reaching above and below the shoulder for product on shelves and while packing boxes
- Occasional kneeling while picking and twisting while operating the riding pallet jack
- Seldom lifting of items 50-100 pounds while placing on a cart
- Work environment in inside a warehouse where there is frequent noise and moving objects such as forklifts, carts and other personal lift equipment. Worksite can be congested at times near the loading docks. Environment is in a climate-controlled warehouse
- Personal protective equipment required for this position includes: safety shoes (continuous), safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and FR sleeves (occasionally, per specific task).

Education and Experience
- Some shipping or receiving experience is a plus
- Industrial lift equipment experience
- Good reading skills
- Good number recognition skills
- Good basic math skills
- Good tape measure reading skills
- Basic computer skills
- Good problem solving/spatial reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- No current restrictions prohibiting lifting up to 50 pounds
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
