What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Paint Prep Operator - 2nd shift position at Rice Lake Weighing Systems?
The Paint Prep Operator operates phosphatizing equipment (power washer/spray wand) to prep parts for painting. Operates power hand tools such as: hand grinder, dual action (da) sander and wire wheels. Ability to work with phosphatizing chemicals is a must. Ensures that all parts are prepared prior to painting to ensure paint adhesion.

- Operates phosphatizing equipment on an assortment of products.
- Sets up and maintains equipment.
- Ensures products are correctly prepared.
- Works in a manner in which quality of work and safety are top priorities.
- Maintains a neat, clean and organized work area while performing paint prep duties.
- Notify direct supervisor of any equipment or tooling that is damaged or not working properly.
- Maintains accurate records of time and quantities, etc.
- Operate powered industrial truck (forklift) and overhead crane(s).
- Must have ability to read and speak English
- Lifting: Occasional up to 20lbs.Seldom up to 100 lbs
- Carrying: Occasional up to 10 lbs.
