Position Summary: The Quarry Groundsman is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and orderly operation of quarry and aggregate production activities. The role performs a variety of labor-intensive tasks related to site housekeeping, equipment clean-up, material handling, plant maintenance support, and general grounds upkeep. The Groundsman works closely with plant operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to ensure production areas remain clean, safe, and operational.
Job Description:
- Maintain plant grounds.
- Assist operators with material flow, clearing buildup, and basic plant tasks.
- Support maintenance and simple repairs, greasing, and equipment cleaning.
- Operate small equipment and hands tools safety.
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, aggregate, or industrial work preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in all weather.
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery and high heights.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and able to follow instructions.
